There are plenty of reasons you can't make it to the gym. Some are legitimate, some are not.
But sometimes the only piece of equipment you need is yourself. That means you don't have to be in a specific place to work out. Makes that excuse about having no time—or proper gear—feel a little flimsy, doesn't it?
They're called body-weight exercises. If you've ever tried a pullup, you know it's one of the simplest—but most hardcore—moves you can do.
Instead of groaning how you're not within reach of your gym's weights, borrow a wall and some floor space. Wallop all your muscles with an intense set of exercises designed to use only your body.
Or if you're strapped for time on vacation or at the in-laws, squeeze in an 8-minute workout to work your whole body and keep your calorie burners revved through your time away from equipment.
Feel stronger by creating your own resistance. Even science has your back.
